"To become the exemplary business model for private sector development supporting public education".
This endeavor challenges us to assure the sprit of our high school and community not only lives on, but flourishes.
OUR HISTORY
The Panther Foundation was formed in the summer of 2003 and is recognized
in the State of Pennsylvania as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The
Foundation also is on the approved list for the Educational Improvement Tax
Credit (E.I.T.C.) for businesses in Pennsylvania. While acknowledging the excellence
of the teachers and administrators in the District, a group of community
leaders and area residents recognized that future demographic and statewide issues
will have a significant impact on the District’s delivery of high-quality education.
The population is growing and placing increased burden on local taxpayers. The
Panther Foundation was formed with the intention of assisting the Board of
Education in providing new and innovative means of increasing revenue for programs
and projects outside the current funding budget of the Central York School
District.
OUR MISSION
The Panther Foundation is a diverse school and community-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing and directing funding for the realization of educational, cultural and athletic programs for the enjoyment, enrichment and enhancement of the students and residents of the Central York School District.
THE FOUNDATION AND THE FUTURE
 |
The Panther Foundation is a long-awaited initiative that is allowing us to create a permanent legacy for our children, families and community. The goal is to enhance their quality of education and create greater access to cultural and recreational opportunities throughout the community. |
| Simply stated, our most important responsibility and goal as administrators, community residents, parents, business leaders, school staff and volunteers is, and always has been, the future of the children raised and educated in the Central York School District, who will become our leaders, taxpayers and parents of tomorrow. |
TESTIMONIALS
| “I found in my 35-year career that schools are only as successful as the community organization supporting them. The Panther Foundation has demonstrated it’s commitment to the success of our schools and every student.” |

| “The Panther Foundation, with its strong focus on academic programs, will be a major supporter as the District continues to implement quality curriculum and instruction. As costs escalate and revenue sources decline, it becomes increasingly difficult to provide quality educational programs. Funding through The Panther Foundation will help us to continually strive to ensure that all students reach their full potential.” |

| “The vision of The Panther Foundation is so exciting! With available resources dwindling, the long-term effect of providing additional opportunities for our students is a priceless asset to our school community. The Foundation has already begun by funding a new technology for the 2005-2006 school year. The organization will be invaluable to the future programs of the District. As a taxpayer and board member, I’m very appreciative of their efforts and looking forward to a long relationship which will benefit our students, staff and taxpayers.” |

“The Panther Foundation is stepping forward to provide support for a number of programs
and projects that are outside the normal district funding process. We are thrilled to look forward to being able to offer different cultural programs, opportunities, and experiences to our students and community that have simply not been feasible in the past.” |

“Our community is inextricably a part of our school. The Panther Foundation, specifically
the capital campaign, gives residents and supporters the opportunity to have a real and lasting impact on the well-being of our fine schools. I am a proud contributor to The Panther Foundation capital campaign and I hope many of my fellow residents will join in the important work of helping our schools forge a brighter future for our children.” |
