LETTER
FROM THE CAMPAIGN CHAIRS

Dear Friends,
The Panther Foundation was established in 2003 to enhance and to supplement the academic, cultural, and athletic development of our students, while at the same time to provide important opportunities for similar enrichment to the citizens of Central York School District. Since the School District has traditionally served as the focal point for many of the community’s activities, the Foundation has been established under its auspices to supplement, but not supplant — publicly-funded programs and activities. In recent years, the top 100 school districts in the country have formed foundations just like this one to enrich their students’ and residents’ lives and to better equip their citizens for the challenges of the 21st century. This is the primary goal of The Panther Foundation.

We are keenly aware that other worthy causes regularly compete for your charitable dollars. We also realize that tax dollars can only stretch so far. That is why we ask for your voluntary contribution to The

Panther Foundation. Your dollars will be put to work here, where you live, and where you can see, first hand, the fruits of your generous giving multiply with each passing year.

An ambitious goal of $1,600,000 for the campaign has been set. This brochure identifies programs and projects covering a broad range of academic, cultural and athletic endeavors that the Foundation would like to implement, as well as outlining important “naming” opportunities. Please take a few moments to review the brochure. When you have, we think you will agree that the Foundation is worthy of your generous support. If you still have questions be assured you may call each of us with your inquiries. We appreciate your enthusiasm and thank you, in advance, for joining with us to make this campaign a success. Our children and community are depending on each and every one of u.

Sincerely,

Matthew A. Clemens
