1. Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. The Panther Foundation is a tax deductible
501(c)(3) non-profit organization
2. Why should I contribute when I already pay taxes?
The Panther Foundation is working with the
School District to enhance programs and projects
that are not funded by local school taxes,
state and federal subsidies or grants.
3. Why should I contribute when I have no children or
my children are already out of school?
The Panther Foundation is working with the
community to provide continuing educational,
cultural and recreational opportunities for
preschoolers through senior citizens. A strong
school is a strong community.
4. How can I follow the achievements of the Panther
Foundation?

5. Who will control the funds, disburse the money and
decide what programs should be funded?
The Panther Foundation Board of Directors will
control and disburse funds. An investment committee
will be formed to interview investment
institutions and professional money managers.
All funds are currently being deposited with a
local bank. The Panther Foundation Board of
Directors will review programs on a yearly basis.
Additional programs will be considered after
reviewing written Applications and proposals
submitted by school staff as well as community
residents.
6. What is the long-term plan for the Foundation?
The Foundation plans to be around for a long
time supporting many additional projects that
may be needed for the students and community
of the Central York School District.
